This year’s High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) is of particular importance for migration governance actors, as SDG 10, which includes a direct reference to migration under target 10.7 (Facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies), is reviewed.
In the weeks leading to the Forum, Civil Society has mobilized to call for migration to be put forward in the Ministerial Declaration (see our Open Letter). Throughout the HLPF, a series of events will take place, focusing on the interlinkages between migration and sustainable development and calling for migration to be fully integrated in the SDG discussions.
