Migration is a complex topic with many intricate and intersecting issues that are all crucial to the achievement of the GCM objectives. As such, 14 thematic workstreams which include Member States and stakeholders, have been established by the UN Network on Migration (UNNM) to steer progress towards specific objectives and to guide Member States’ holistic implementation of the Compact. AC members are active participants in 13 of the 14 workstreams as co-leads and members, providing pivotal insights cultivated by their expertise and the experiences of migrants on the ground.
These are the 14 UNNM Workstreams:
- Workstream 1 – Progress Indicators
- Workstream 2 – Missing Migrants and Humanitarian Assistance
- Workstream 3 – Health Emergencies, Policies and Services
- Workstream 4 – Migrant Protection from Human Smuggling and Trafficking
- Workstream 5 – Socio-Economic Inclusion of Migrants
