On Tuesday 19 May 2020 at 3PM CET the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), the Civil Society Action Committee (AC) and the International Migrants Bill of Rights (IMBR) Initiative at Cornell University kindly had a special session on the potential impacts of COVID-19 and related measures on the rights of migrants.

NGOs and academics shared on how they see the pandemic impacting on the rights of migrants, with a specific focus on the most vulnerable ones, and also discussed the various responses undertaken by States to mitigate negative impacts. 

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Morocco to the United Nations in New York, his Excellency Omar Hilale, joined the webinar as a guest speaker.
