From the IOM :

  1. Forthcoming guidance on a common framework for monitoring migrant economic contributions to development. IOM is planning to release guidance on how to begin systematically measuring migrants’ economic contributions beyond remittances in an effective and efficient way by adding a few tags related to citizenship and migrant status in national statistical systems measuring economic and financial activity. This is in line with SDG 17 on disaggregation by migrant status.
  2. Being able to measure and monitor the economic contributions of migrants to development will help countries to reinforce the understanding of migration as an important vehicle of development, and to design effective policies and programmes that help fill the financing for development gap and contribute to broader migration and development initiatives. A preview of this guidance can be found on iDiaspora: https://idiaspora.org/news/preview-forthcoming-report-migrant-economic-contribution-summary
  3. Migration and the 2030 Agenda: A Guide for Practitioners. IOM’s Migration and the 2030 Agenda: A Guide for Practitioners is designed to help government and other actors implement the migration aspects of the 2030 Agenda. The Guide articulates the migration linkages across all Sustainable Development Goals. The Guide can be found at: https://publications.iom.int/books/migration-and-2030-agenda-guide-practitioners
