The Civil Society Action Committee Declaration ‘A Civil Society Line Against Regression: Recommitting to Rights-Based Multilateralism’ is an urgent call to action and to course correct. At the 2026 IMRF, civil society reaffirmed the critical importance of multilateralism and the cooperative framework enshrined in the Global Compact for Migration (GCM). We must at the absolute minimum draw a firm line against any further regression of migrants’ rights.
