On 9 and 10 December 2020, the Civil Society Action Committee took part in a multi-stakeholder conference, a two-day event, led by Impact17, looking at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and partnerships to promote better societies.

For this initiative, the 17 SDGs were collated into four accessible themes:

  • Sustainable society
  • Technology & innovation
  • Environment & nature
  • Partnering for a Better World

Together with ICVA, the Action Committee was a co-organiser of the STEP event under the theme of sustainable society. They hosted 7 migration-related workshops within these two days, focused on partnerships and proposing concrete actions to all participants (and the private sector in particular) towards sustainable societies.

The aim of STEP into a Better World was to reach a broad community, generate outputs and actions, build new networks, encourage solutions and equip participants with a greater potential to collaborate for a better world.
